Vietnam counted 9,362 new confirmed cases and 174 deaths as of September 27

In the past 24 hours, Vietnam has reported 9,362 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 20 imported cases and 9,342 indigenous cases. Ho Chi Minh City had the highest number of cases at 4,134, followed by Binh Duong Province (3,793)

According to the Ministry of Health, from 17:00 On September 26 to 17:00 on September 27, Vietnam reported 9,362 new confirmed COVID-19 cases across the country, of which 4,453 were found in communities.

On the same day, 10,528 patients were cured and 174 died.

Of the 9,342 locally confirmed cases, 4,134 in Ho Chi Minh City, 3,793 in Binh Duong, 616 in Dong Nai, 190 in Long an Ho, 131 in An Giang, 80 in Sining, 73 in Kin Giang, 58 in Chien Giang, 56 in Can Tho city, 54 in Henan, 32 in Binh Thuan, 26 in Khanh Hoa, 21 in Binh Dinh, Quang binh 15 cases, 14 cases from dong thap province, rich ain in 11 cases, 9 cases, ninh thuan province kun song province in 5 cases, 4 cases, ca mau province province, 4 cases of beijiang river, 4 cases of bayu vung tau province Yi ain, 3 cases of quang ngai in 3, 3 cases, quang province yonglong province 3 cases, 3 cases of quang nam province, agricultural province 3 cases, vinh province in 2 cases, jia lai province in 2 cases, penang province in 2 cases, 2 cases of quang ninh province, ping fu province in 1 case, One case was reported in Da Nang, one in Thanh Hoa province, one in Vinh Phuc province and one in Hanoi.

In the past 24 hours, the number of confirmed cases fell by 987 in Ho Chi Minh City, 130 in Tong Nai and 26 in Binh Phuc from yesterday.

The number of cases increased by 461 in Binh Duong province, 50 in An Giang and 43 in Sining province.

With 766,051 confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the outbreak, Vietnam ranks 44th out of 222 countries and territories.

Since the fourth wave of the epidemic began on April 27, Vietnam has reported a total of 761,527 new locally confirmed cases, including 533,275 cured and discharged from hospital.

Sixteen provinces and cities, including Beichao, Xuan Quang, Laizhou, Heping, Anpei, Hejiang, Taiyuan, Dien Bien, Yongfu, Haiphong Fushou, Ninh Ping, Nanding, Bejiang, Taiping and Lang Son, have not reported new COVID-19 cases for more than 14 consecutive days.

On September 27, 10,528 new patients were cured and discharged from hospitals nationwide, bringing the total number of cured patients to 538,454. Among the patients treated in various medical institutions, there were 4,135 cases of critical illness.

On September 27, 174 new deaths were reported, bringing the cumulative death toll to 18,758. The COVID-19 fatality rate stood at 2.5%, 0.4% higher than the world average.

In the past 24 hours, 344,543 tests were taken nationwide. A total of 51,904,476 people have been sampled and tested since April 27.

On September 26, 865,610 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered. So far, 39,232,772 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
