According to statistics from the General Bureau of Statistics of the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, in the first two months of 2023, Vietnam added 10 overseas investment projects, with a contracted investment of more than US$100 million, 2.1 times that of the same period last year. There are 4 capital increase projects, and the capital increase capital is 5.7 million US dollars.
In the first two months of 2023, Vietnam’s newly added and capital-increased outbound investment funds totaled US$115 million, 2.6 times that of the same period last year.
In 2022, Vietnam will have 1,611 foreign investment projects with a contracted investment of more than US$21.75 billion. Among them, 139 projects were invested with state-owned funds, with a total investment of nearly 11.6 billion US dollars, accounting for 53.3% of the country’s total foreign investment.
Vietnam’s foreign investment is mainly concentrated in mining, agriculture, forestry and fishery. The main overseas investment destinations are Laos, Cambodia, Venezuela, Singapore, Australia, the United States and other countries.
